We are an annual literary magazine centered on promoting the light, healing and being of women and gender expansive people of color and their experiences. We offer our readers interviews, think pieces, photo series, art pieces, activities and highlight journal entries — all with the goal of promoting vulnerability and healing.

We're baseD

on 3 ideas:

LIGHT

We illuminate the stories of people and voices that you don't often hear from.

We highlight unique viewpoints and experiences.

We nurture the light that's in all womxn by allowing them to exist in all their flaws and glory.

We nurture the light that's in all by allowing them to exist in all their challenges and glory.

We allow womxn of color to exist, unapologetically.

We take the unfleshed out thoughts in their journals, diary entries, and raw and unfiltered thoughts and put them in our pages.

BEING

We allow BIPOC to exist, unapologetically.

We borrow the raw unfiltered thoughts people put in their journals and diary entries—and put them on our pages.

We help womxn of color process and heal by telling their stories and those of other powerful womxn.

We believe that the journey to healing is eternal and powerful.

We talk to people across generations about their journeys to healing, and spotlight pieces of wisdom.
